Let’s Partner Together

“If there is any concept worth restoring to its original depth and evocative potential, it is the concept of hospitality.”

—Henri Nouwen

My Approach

  • Intentional readiness for people to join your church community.

  • Deepening the internal bonds of your church community.

  • Engagement with neighbors and the community outside the church.

The Table Project comes alongside you and your church to create a partnership and connection that continues throughout the year and beyond. This is not a one-size-fits-all approach. Rather, I sit down with the local church leadership to create a plan that is intentional, sustainable, and customizable for the local church to have the tools and knowledge to make hospitality a posture and practice of your church.

I work closely with pastors, ministry leaders, and local churches to help integrate hospitality throughout their lives of faith. From the Sunday morning worship service to the everyday lives of the congregation, hospitality serves as the lens through which ministry is seen and enacted. This gives a living rhythm to the life of the church, rather than just another program to execute.

Parish Ministry

I long for the local church to be a place of hope and healing for their neighborhoods and cities. With a focus on a parish ministry, the local church can celebrate the advent of Christ’s Kingdom as they meet the needs of their local community.

Incarnate Ministry

Because Jesus put on flesh and came to live among us, we too live into the ordinary, everyday lives in order to be cisterns of grace to those around us.

The Table Project models, teaches, and equips local pastors and churches to see hospitality as participation in the mission of God.

Model

We share a meals around a table as we model biblical hospitality.

Feasting together — both in the cooking of and the eating of the meal — bind one another together in the mediatorial act of sharing a table together. The table is a celebration of the sacrificial gift of life that Jesus brings in his kingdom. As we feast together, we will recognize food as one of the first ways God shows his care and concern for us.

Teach

We explore the theological foundation for hospitality in the Scriptures.

As we read the story of Scripture together, we find instances of hospitality offered and received. We begin to see that hospitality is the very heart of God. This hospitality becomes incarnate in the person of Jesus through his sacraments and sacrifice. This is to be a marker of the Church.

Equip

We help empower the local congregation to extend hospitality to their own neighbors.

Through these workshops and seminars, the local church begins to grasp a vision of what hospitality can look like in their worship and in their everyday lives. They are empowered to offer hospitality through everyday interactions with those nearest to them.
